IM Checklist, Cont'd: Content Marketing (Part 2.3)

Hi fellow MLM'ers and Affiliates,

If Internet Marketing is something you wish to understand, the goal is to complete the IM Checklist in the coming days ahead, give you an overview..., then show you what's possible. You can build a sustainable business online using real data. It's not a shot-in-the-dark some might suspect. This kind of effort requires a dedicated approach. Forget sites promising you the moon, telling you that "no effort" is needed. This is only a losing proposition.

In the coming months ahead, I will deliver resources best answering these questions.

Also, please know that there's no such thing as a 'turnkey system'..., BUT you have the power to pick and choose what you want for your business, readily answering the demands of your clients. We call this 'solution-based marketing'... -- where you find what people want -- then you supply a menu of viable choices. The best businesses do this, without exception.

Part 2.3, IM Checklist --

2.3.1 Article Distribution & Article Marketing

This is the place to start, IF you're building your business on a budget.

  • a solid way to put your name online, for the lowest-cost possible
  • the best way to generate targeted leads for less than pay-per-click
  • ease your way into Internet Marketing without going broke

This marketing method is about distributing articles to attract traffic from third-party sites.

2.3.2 Blogging

Use blogs to attract visitors to your web-site. If you don't yet have a web-site, this is a great place to start when you're new to Internet Marketing.

2.3.3 Viral Marketing

Attracting torrents of visitors using viral marketing strategies.

2.3.4 Video Marketing

Distributing videos on third-party sites (e.g. YouTube) for purposes of attracting visitors.

2.3.5 User-Generated Content Sites

Using sites like Squidoo, Hubpages..., etc. for rankings to attract traffic.

2.4 Social Media

2.4.1 Social Networking

Gathering crowds using social networking sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, MySpace, etc..

2.4.2 Social Broadcasting

Communicating with and gathering crowds using Twitter, Plurk, Friendfeed, etc..

2.4.3 StumbleUpon

Attracting web-site visitors using StumbleUpon

2.4.4 Social Bookmarking

Using social bookmarking sites (e.g. del.icio.us) to promote content and improve search engine rankings.

I will offer additional information in the next post. Hopes are not to inundate you. See the overview, choose what you want and choose proven resources.

IM Checklist, Cont'd: Search Engine Optimization (Part 2.2)

Hi fellow MLM'ers and Affiliates,

Delivering on the promise to cover key aspects of Internet Marketing.

Why is this stuff important to your business?

  • If you dislike the idea of a company pegging you for life -- read on.
  • If you want a better future, living life on your terms -- read on.
  • If you're tired of running all over the gameboard for whatever reason to find targeted, qualified leads -- read on.
  • If you're absolutely motivated to move what you're passionate about and you know it fits into the needs of willing buyers -- read on.
  • If you need traffic and lots of it -- read on.
  • If you don't want to hire an entire department to do what you and maybe a few others can do via automated means -- then read on.

If you're new -- click the "Take The Challenge" link listed below.

Take the challenge.

If you're a seasoned player, it makes no difference whether you're a marketing rep who's been around the block more times than you'd care to admit or you're a marketing professional who's been walking the the "high-wire" too long. This is about giving you a roadmap that's supported.
And..., you don't have to slug it out in the trenches for 17 years at length, to piece together what should have been delivered, MLM -- day 1 of recruiting or affiliate marketing.

SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION

Here's starter work which helps people find you online. This work gives the search engines Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc. demand. Rich content satisfies what people want. You, the merchant..., get what you want -- customers and lots of them. So, we use the search listings.

There are 8 parts to Search Engine Optimization --

A British group of "techno-brains" developed something more workable for "us common folk", like me for one.

Part 1: General Search Engine Optimization Strategies

  • Ensures your sites are ranked prominently in search engines.

Part 2: Achieving Fast Ranking

  • Ensures your sites rank quickly in the search engines.

Part 3: Identifying SEO Keywords for Easy Rankings

  • Find the right, high quality keywords most likely to result in fast top-10 rankings.

Part 4: On-Page Search Engine Optimization

  • Make changes to site content, thereby improving your site's search engine rankings....so people find you easily, for less.

Part 5: LSI/Siloing

  • This has to do with structuring your site effectively, using what's called "latent Semantic Indexing".

Part 6: Link Building

  • Improving site rankings by obtaining links.

Part 7: Creating SEO Optimized Content

  • Writing content with effective keyword placement and density for search engine rankings.

Part 8: Tagging

  • Identifying tags for videos, blog posts and other web 2.0 content.
Take the challenge. They show you step-by-step how to do all of this stuff.

Feel free to post your comments, happy or otherwise. This is about helping you find what you want.

Creating Affluence

Hello Fellow MLM'ers and Affiliates,

This post is dedicated to those of you who may be challenged in life by any
circumstance, for any reason. A wonderful author I met at an unusual human
empowerment seminar repeatedly told the audience (experiencing many challenges) --

"Life is never as it seems".

He suggested --

If we (as a race) will reach it's greatest potential, we must eventually
understand..., "We're far more than we readily believe and no
matter what we're presently experiencing, we should still celebrate life.
If we accept that much, then we must also stop the shifting of blame onto
others, to then look at our own thoughts, actions and responsibilities to
produce now a greater way of life. This change begins with us".

So..., if you believe you're not exactly where you're at..., consider --

  • success is a moving target
  • people who are worth millions in net worth areworking towards their next goals
  • those who have yet to earn a million are focused on that goal
  • those who define success in their own terms uniquely (let's say it doesn't include bigger money...and that's okay), they will have their goals
  • here..., now..., we talk about affluence in general terms

If you maintain at some level of your awareness that some of your thoughts might be holding you back, you're not alone.

  • it's take great courage to see that what's working and what's not working well
  • no human lives entirely in the light
  • if you decide for yourself that something may be better, only you can know
  • the best clues in your life will point to a 'yes' or a 'no' , if you ask yourself honestly, "Okay what do I really need to change"?
  • usually this process means you have to change something within yourself, pointing to new needs about altering the way you think, act and feel.

For areas of life you like most --

  • I will direct you to your honest first emotions
  • Think about something -- the emotion will be happy or unhappy.
  • These feels indicate your thoughts and actions may be 'right-minded' or not and they are congruent/incongruent with what you desire most.
  • If something in your life is not working, reprogramming the thought will produce a better outcome.

Consider the published works of Deepak Chopra, M.D., if we begin to shift the mindset in affluent directions. To understand more about what affluence may mean to you, I will first suggest that affluence is a conglomeration of thoughts guiding many actions. Chopra begins by talking about what affluence is, separately from what we think is real.

By Chopra's definition, he states, "Affluence is more than money, status or power -

  • It's "the experience in which our needs are easily met and our desires are spontaneously fulfilled -- whether they apply to the material/emotional/psychological or spiritual needs... or to the realm of relationship", (Chopra, 1993).

"A truly wealthy person's attention is never focused on money alone".

  • "Wealthy people who think about money all the time, when they are concerned about that reality, irrespective of the dollar amount they possess..., are poor".

  • "Moreover, a truly wealthy person rarely ever has money concerns", all quotations, (-- special edition of Chopra's, "A - Z Steps to a Richer Life" -- Notes From The Author).

Translation:

  • You can own a bank account that's worth millions -- and you can still be deprived in thought...
  • Wealth is a relative state...,
  • It is a consciousness which goes beyond material realities...,
  • The basics are important -- once you have daily needs met...,
  • If any basic need remains unmet, you life at the level of that unmet need until it's fully realized...,

In closing my husband would ask, "Isn't chocolate included on that list"?

What Autoresponders Do

Hi Fellow MLM'ers and Affiliates!

Barbara here. Glad you could join me on this post.

First, I want to say thank you for joining me.

Let's get to it. Today's post is a brief interrupt in

the lengthy list of Internet Marketing.

I'd like to talk about autoresponder mastery. This is the

tool the big guys and gals use in MLM but it's also the

tool people use online.

WHAT THIS TOOL DOES:

You don't have to be a brain surgeon to use it.

You can visit with a lot of people at once.

In exchange for people tracking you, you get the opportunity

to build trust and rapport. This step takes time so you're

exposing your messages to large numbers of people all at once.

In exchange for that trust, people will seek you out

for their solutions.

WHAT THE AUTORESPONDER DOES FOR A CAMPAIGN:

It's the central hub to any marketing campaign.

I'm going to prove a key point by sharing a story with you.

LET'S USE DATING AS AN EXAMPLE:

Imagine that before you ask a girl or a guy out on a date,
you go to that person's parents to ask their permission.
(Yes, there are still rare young people who do this.)

Mom may not be concerned if it's her Son.

But if it's a Daughter, let's bring Dad into the picture.

How does Dad usually want his Daughter to be treated?

He may tell you. And he'll respect you greatly because you
asked.

Pull this analogy over to autoresponder use and e-mail
communications.

Imagine treating people on your e-mail list with the same
level of dignity and respect that Daddy wants for his 16-year
old girl.

And... think of your opt-in page or "squeeze page" as a place
where you request permission to begin to make deposits into
someone's emotional bank account.

SUCCESSFUL RELATIONSHIPS, EVEN VIA E-MAIL, ARE NOT SPEED SEDUCTION:

They're a lot more like courtship and marriage.

The best feeling that your customers can have about your
e-mails is, "Hey, every time I open his/her emails, I'm
always glad I took the time to read them."

If people consistently feel that way about your content, you'll
acquire a loyal following.

When you want to or need to sell something, then you'll most likely
have an eager audience.

THE HIGHEST PURPOSE OF EVERY E-MAIL YOU SEND IS WHAT?

What would YOU guess the answer is?

In my opinion, the purpose of the email you send today should be --

To make sure your readers want to read the NEXT one you send them after that.

So you offer a weekly or monthly newsletter that you write.

Give people something valuable in exchange for their trust.

If people are coming back to you for more, the motivation could be

because you tell a cliffhanger story or something. But that's a mere tactic.

THERE'S A BETTER AND LARGER PRINCIPLE HERE:

*Fill peoples' emotional bank accounts.*

Stephen Covey's book Seven Habits of Highly Effective People
explains that there's an emotional bank account for everyone
we have a relationship with.

We're either making deposits or withdrawals, and when there
are more withdrawals than deposits, the relationship dies.
(DELETE. UNSUBSCRIBE. STOP SENDING ME THESE !@#$% EMAILS.)

When the balance in that bank account is grows over time,
the relationship strengthens and it becomes possible to do
'heavy lifting.' This person becomes someone you can rely
on to come through for you in a pinch, and vise-versa.

You of course would like your prospects and customers
to do business with you.

CONSIDER WHAT THIS REALLY MEANS:

If people are going to give you their money, there is
some change they want in their life. How are they
going to trust you to help them make that change?

How big of a deal is this to them, really?

If they get burned in their quest to solve this problem,
what does it cost them? (It's probably more than money.
There is likely significant time and opportunity cost as well.)

What if your solution is a blind alley?

What alternatives may be permanently closed off to them?

The most amateur marketing mistake is attempting to
withdraw before a deposit is made.

In total, your emails should give FAR more than they take.

Have a happy week!
